Hi Marthame,
I not much of a poet, but wanted to say sorry about your dad. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Say hi to your mom and sister for me. Also,on a lighter note, dont forget Yes is on tour 2009! I think they already came to Atlanta. Love the Cavanaugh family (NJ.)
Marthame,
I was shocked to find that your Dad died 3 years ago. I Googled his name and the obituary appeared. Your Dad, Mom and I were friends many, many years ago. He and I were roomates, briefly, at Ft. Custer.
My condolences to you, your sister and your Mother.
Dick Vorwerk
Thanks, Dick, for your kind words. We grew up hearing lots of stories about Dad’s time in the service. He clearly had very fond memories and while he wasn’t the most vocally patriotic guy, he was very proud of being a veteran. I have kept his VA flag as one reminder of a great guy.
Hello, I am a Christian, volunteering in Nablus as an English teacher ( with a secular organisation called Project Hope). I have just retired and wanted to find out for myself what is happening in Palestine. I have been here 2 weeks and this is a very steep learning curve! I am contacting you to thank you for the Blogs you have written whilst in The West Bank. I have had the opportunity to talk face to face with many people here but it has been particularly helpful for me to read about the situation from a ecumenical Christian perspective. I will also take on your prayer challenge, see your weekly sermon is being ” listened to” across the World!
Val
Thanks, Val! Prayers and blessings for you. I loved Nablus whenever I got to visit it, especially eating Knafe at night! Where are you teaching?
HI there – I found this while googling for my great-great-great grandfather Capt. Otho Herron Morgan – my own grandfather was Otho Herron Morgan, born in 1903 and my mother was his daughter, Mary Anne Morgan – just wanted to say hello! Lorie Rommel Rosales – eyolar2001@yahoo.com
Hi, I’m an Orthodox Christian nun who spent 10 years in Jerusalem but now live in upstate NY. However every year I take small groups on a Holy Land pilgirmage. Last July I took a group of college students to Zababdeh and we had the most wonderful day of our trip. We’d like to continue our connection with the people there. Getting ready for a presentation this Lent and came across your documentary: Salt of the Earth made in 2004. Is there any way to acquire a copy?
Many thanks,
mother Agapia
I apologize for taking so long to respond. I do not monitor this site regularly. I can send you a copy of Salt of the Earth. Send me an email (marthamesanders@gmail.com) and we will connect there.
